Side trip from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur
I was on a 6-day (26-31 December 2018) holiday in Singapore so I decided to make a side-trip to Kuala Lumpur and meet a friend there. (29-30 December 2018) Here are the details of the trip's transportation.

1. Alighted at Woodlands MRT Station. Rode bus #170 going Woodlands checkpoint using my EZ link card which still has 5.60 SGD load.
2. Alighted at Woodlands Checkpoint and climb the stairs to the immigration counters. Tapped the passport at the exit machine. Affixed right thumb at the next step in the machine. The gates opened for an exit.
3. Rode a bus from Woodlands Checkpoint to JB Central Checkpoint at the Malaysian side. I used EZ link still. Alighted at the levels where buses park.

4. Climbed the stairs to the Malaysian immigration's arrival counters. It's weekend and holiday season for Dec 29, 2018, so the queue is longer than expected. It took me around 1 hour to reach the immigration officer's counter. No questions asked, my passport was immediately stamped with an entry visa.
5. From the arrival building, I went down to ride a bus going to Larkin. I paid 1 SGD coin and got the ride ticket because my EZ Link card has an insufficient balance of 1.40 SGD. In fact, the fare using EZ link is far cheaper than giving cash but there is no top up counter at the immigration buildings even at the Singapore side.
6. Alighted at Larkin Central bus station. Reserved ticket going KL TBS (bus station) through human ticket counters. But, self-service ticket purchase is available at the ticketing machines located far right of the human ticket counters. The ticket is at 35.40 MYR including 0.40 insurance. Some tickets are priced at 45 to 55 MYR depending on the type of transport to be used.
7. Rode Mayang Sari Bus. The seats are truly comfortable and the aisles are wide enough for passengers to pass through but there is no toilet inside. The trip from Larkin Central to KL TBS is around 4.5 hours.
8. At KL TBS I bought a card for Rapid KL MRT at 10 MYR. Rode MRT which is nearby TBS building going to KL Sentral the waiting time might be long but the travel time is around 15 minutes only.
9. Met my friend in KL Sentral. Had dinner inside NU Central - it is a mall attached to the KL Sentral. We also ate in a family restaurant in Petaling Jaya just beside the City Council building.
10. My friend sent me back to KL TBS after exploring the city for around 1 hour more. The ticket is still at 35.40 MYR with the Hatyai Intertop Express Bus I was able to reserve ticket immediately back to Larkin Central and went back to Singapore using the opposite route. All these in just 1 day and 1 night.
Note:
KL TBS is different from KL BTS. The former is a bus station hub and is integrated with the BTS which is an MRT hub.
TBS is 24-hours open and there are wide spaces to sleep for passengers who are waiting for their next-day travel.
At the immigration entry in Singapore, I was interrogated about my stay in Singapore. I was asked when I will go back to the Philippines and how am I related to the one I am staying in Singapore. I was also asked if the one I am staying with is working there or not. I tend to connect it with the short stay, I declared there which is only 2 days - the days left of the 6 days intended stay.
